School-based Summer Internships

Our Summer Internships are District-funded and provide meaningful work experiences for Palm Beach County high school students and graduates of the District who are currently enrolled in a college or university. Interns are hired by summer school administrators to work in their elementary Summer Reading Academy (SRA) program each day alongside an elementary teacher. They will gain hands-on classroom experience, such as:

• assisting with daily routines and procedures
• setting up and organizing the classroom
• supporting students’ academic needs

Interns will earn $15 per hour and work 7 hour work days during the week in the months of June and July.
